New Pacific Airlines pilots must meet the minimum qualifications outlined on the job posting some of which include the following:

    First Officer
  • Must have an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Must have a minimum of 1,500 hours. (Experience as a First Officer on an aircraft such as B737, A320, or larger is highly preferred)
  • Must have a valid First-Class Medical.
  • Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
    Direct Entry Captain
  • Must have an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Must have a minimum of 2,500 hours in a fixed-wing aircraft, of which 1,000 hours will be multi-engine turbine flight time preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 1,000 hours of FAA 121 flight time.
  • Must have recent operating experience as a Captain on an aircraft such as B737, A320, or larger.
  • Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

All training will take place after successfully passing the required pre-employment screenings and receiving a formal invitation to join us in an upcoming ground school. New Pacific Airlines pilots will receive two weeks of ground instruction consisting of comprehensive training to include classroom instruction and computer-based training. Comprehensive training received will include basic indoctrination and general subjects. Following ground school, pilots will be scheduled for Systems and Simulator training (SIM) with Delta Professional Services where they will be trained and evaluated on mirrored real-life situations. Quickly following SIM, a pilot will undergo their Initial Operating Experience (IOE) and are welcomed into the fleet as an official pilot for Northern Pacific Airways.
